Caro leitor do Segunda Base, como deve saber, a MLB está de férias. E como deve saber, todo fã de beisebol adora umas estatísticas surreais. E isso se torna mais surreal ainda na época do Super Bowl. Oi? Sim, Super Bowl da NFL. Sim, não tem nada a ver com beisebol, mas, todo mundo vai ver o jogo. E pensando nisso, Dayn Perry da CBS Sports levantou um tema interessante.

E se a MLB tivesse um Super Bowl? Sim, e se a World Series virasse um Super Bowl e ao invés de melhor de sete, fosse melhor de um jogo? Apenas um jogo mata-mata, ou melhor, mata ou morre.

Seria incrível, adrenalina a mil. Mas obviamente existem diversos fatores pelo qual isso não pode acontecer no beisebol. Tantos arremessadores bons e você teria que escolher um para ser o titular. Já pensou?

E pensando nisso, foi levantado os resultados de todos os primeiros jogos da World Series para saber quem seriam os campeões do Super Bowl da MLB. Se é apenas um jogo, o que vale é o primeiro. Então, da uma olhada na listinha de campeões e veja se quem sabe o seu time seria melhor jogando Super Bowl do que World Series.

Os dados foram feitos inclusive com os hipotéticos MVPs do jogo. O asterisco indica que o time que ganhou o Super Bowl é diferente do que ganhou a World Series.

O curioso é que, mesmo com essa diferença tremenda no sistema de disputa, apenas o Cleveland Indians seria o campeão diferente desde 2010.
